Hearing Aid Fitting

During the hearing aid fitting process the NU-EAR authorized hearing professional will use sophisticated programming software that interfaces with your new hearing instruments. The software will allow the NU-EAR professional to make adjustments to specific frequencies, multiple memory options, program set-ups, and many other technical features.

All NU-EAR hearing instruments feature an ultra-violet shell process to ensure exact shell thickness and conformity to the original ear impression. To accomplish the goal of fashionable – custom fit, the hearing instrument's shell casing must precisely match the contours of the patient’s ear canal. The highly trained shell specialist will first examine the original ear impression. Defects and abnormalities will result in an improperly fit shell casing. The impression may need to be modified by an artistic sculptor. This professional will add and remove materials from the original impression in order to provide a precise and polished finish.

Pouring the Case

The Duplicoloid investment is used to pour the ultra-violet shell casing. Ultra-violet light is used in the curing process to avoid heat damaging effects to  the shell casing. Each shell is precisely etched with a laser to inscribe the hearing instruments’ serial numbers.
